Solar at Scale:
Inside JLR’s 18.4MW Behind-the-Meter Installation
Join On-Site Energy for an exclusive visit to one of the UK’s largest behind-the-meter solar installations serving a major automotive research and development facility. This 18.4MWp solar PV array supports JLR’s large UK engineering campus with significant electricity demand, helping reduce energy costs and carbon emissions while supporting future growth in electrified technologies.
Attendees will see how large-scale on-site renewable generation can be integrated into energy-intensive operations, providing cleaner power, improved resilience, and long-term cost stability.
This site visit offers a practical look at how innovative energy infrastructure is helping manufacturers accelerate decarbonisation while remaining competitive.
About On-Site Energy

- OSE designs, builds, pays for, owns, operates & maintains the energy centre
- OSE charges the facility for power generated
- OSE delivers savings for off-takers, without capex investment
- OSE drives benefits for local supply chains
