Our Spring Water Policy Group will cover&nbsp;new, need-to-know information for all large water users about the likely availability of water supplies across the country in the years ahead.&nbsp;This will be vital for forward planning, particularly relating to business resilience and continuity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>National water deficit<\/strong><br>The emerging picture from new work to map out the water resource needs of the country is that the gap between supply and demand by 2050 will be significantly bigger than previously thought. If we do nothing, we could have a shortfall of 4 billion litres of water a day.
