Exclusive opportunity for MEUC members: tell Ofwat what you think of the water market
Following similar successful meetings in 2018, 2019 and 2020, the MEUC has once again secured an opportunity for our members to feed back directly to Ofwat on their water market experiences. This year, this will be via an online round table event. Ofwat will use the feedback to inform its 2021 State of the Market report, as well as its wider policy work, so it is a great opportunity for members to have a say at the heart of the market.
A full agenda will follow, but the discussion will cover:
- An open session for you to share your experiences, say how satisfied you are, raise issues, and identify priorities for Ofwat. How well are your retailers and wholesalers serving your needs?
- Revisit the key issues to surface last year: meter reading, billing, customer service and market inconsistency/complexity. Have things changed?
- Your experiences of the Covid-19 business customer provisions including the vacancy flag and tailored repayment schemes. How effective were they? How could they have been better?
- Water market wishlist – what do you want from a modern water service? Are there any lessons to draw from energy or other markets?
